There are many steps associated with website SEO for higher search engine rankings. Each step needs to be followed to move ahead with another step. SEO is not a minute’s work; it takes a lot of effort and time for your business to be successful.

From planning to measurement each step has lots to do for optimal results and creating an online presence.

Recognize the important phrases/keywords for the business before optimizing the website as this is the foundation of the whole SEO process. Prepare a list of relevant keywords that balance popularity, competition, and client view. Google keyword external tool is the best-known tool for searching keywords. It brainstorms keywords and helps you make a list that is based on both popularity and competition factors. Use these finalized keywords in your website title, description, and keywords.

2. Measure Your Rankings

Before you can improve your positions, you must know where you rank for the keywords that relate to your business products and services. Well obviously, we won’t be ranking anywhere during our initial stage.

3. Page Creation and Optimization

Now embed those selected keywords on your web page in the form of title, description, content, and header alt tags. The best way and tricky idea are to analyze the top 10 results/websites that are already ranking high for that particular keyword and emulating their key aspects on your own website. Keep in mind the keyword density while optimizing the web page. It should not be more than 3-4% as per my opinion.

6. Follow Up and Fine Tuning

Now analyze which pages rank well for a particular keyword and what is the conversion level, if any. Google Analytics is again a well-known and SEO-friendly tool to analyze the traffic sources and keywords that are bringing traffic and conversions. You can also opt. webmaster tools to keep track of the same.

Some pages rank well for a year without any changes but some web pages might need regular updates and refinements to rank well in search engines. Keep them updating with some content, say about 100-150 words. Re-optimize the pages that drop in rank and then re-submit the web page to search engines.
